CORTEF PATIENT INFORMATION

Cortef (hydrocortisone, cortisol) is a hormone made in the adrenal gland. It is prescribed in physiologic doses (the same amounts made by the adrenal gland under normal conditions) for symptoms of low cortisol or adrenal insufficiency.
